Maintenance for Peak Performance

The propulsion efficiency of marine vessels directly depends on the geometric accuracy and balance of the propeller. Damaged propellers due to impact, cavitation, or corrosion over time increase fuel consumption, reduce vessel speed, and produce severe vibrations that damage shafts and bearings.

With over 50 years of metallurgy and marine engineering expertise, Eriş Propeller restores damaged propellers to their original design specifications (Class 1 or Class S tolerances).

Repair & Maintenance Capabilities

All our restoration processes are executed under the supervision of expert engineers using modern tools.

Precision Dynamic Balancing

We balance your propeller to rotate perfectly around the shaft axis in compliance with ISO 1940 and classification rules. Using computer-controlled dynamic balancing machines, even the smallest mass imbalances (down to 0.01g) are detected and eliminated, extending the service life of your shaft, stern tube, and gearbox.

Pitch & Geometry Correction

Propeller blades bent or deformed by collision or cavitation are straightened with millimeter-level accuracy using hydraulic pitch presses and precision templates. By equalizing the pitch distribution, the engine load is balanced across all blades, allowing the engine to reach its rated RPM smoothly and optimizing fuel efficiency.

Welding Overlay & Cavitation Repair

Material losses and fractures on blade edges or surfaces caused by impact or cavitation are rebuilt using specialized welding methods (TIG/MIG) fully matching the original alloy (Cu3 Manganese Bronze or Nickel Aluminium Bronze). Post-repair liquid penetrant crack tests are performed to certify welding quality.

Surface Grinding & Polishing

Over time, marine growth, rust, and surface roughness increase hydrodynamic drag. We polish your propellers to a mirror finish using specialized grinding disks and polishing wheels. Eliminating surface roughness optimizes water flow, leading to a 3% to 5% fuel saving and a noticeable speed increase.
